Stamp Birds
In 1660, Colonel Henry Bishop a resident of Henfield, was appointed by Charles II as the first Postmaster General. Therefore Rachael has chosen to create a sculpture from stamps for the Henfield Garden and Arts weekend. Delicately balanced origami birds made entirely from hand sewn stamps flock in the courtyard on Brick Lane, some perching throughout the new planting designs created by Roberta Emmott, re-defining and invigorating the space. After the temporary exhibition, each individual bird was sold to private collectors.
