Salt is an incredibly evocative substance that has many connotations, historically, biblically, medically and scientifically. My interest is in creating poetic spaces and landscapes that stimulate the imagination whilst also effecting a powerful visceral experience. In Monoculture at Cannibal Ferox at T1&2 Paradise Row, during the exhibition, the salt slowly devoured and rusted its metal structure, referencing the historical link between cannibalism and a lack of sodium in the diet.
