This is a structure created in materials of opposite composites that visually perplex the viewer as both are crystalline, white and extremely similar in texture. The entirely white landscape obliterates the horizon, disorienting the viewer. The salt and sugar have been manipulated by different processes into blocks, hung from tension wire to create an inviting yet un-crossable bridge.
The salt and sugar have been manipulated in the same method as used in the distillation process of both these products by the manufacturing industry. However from our process we have been able to construct something that will not be consumed, but that has consumed it’s environment by altering our perceptions.
